Find Fannin County Booking Photos

The most reliable way to find the mugshot of a released Fannin County inmate is a focused county records request. No official sheriff roster, recent-release photo feed, or linked mobile app was found in the county's public channels. A Fannin County booking photo documents appearance at admission. It does not prove guilt, current custody, or release. This discovery guide identifies the official sources that may hold a photo and the limits of each route. It does not host a mugshot gallery. Pair any image with the booking record, final court disposition, and release or transfer record before drawing a conclusion.

Fannin Released-Inmate Photo Records

A booking photograph is created at admission and belongs to the arrest or jail record. It records appearance at that point in time. Release does not erase the arrest, and the image does not show the later disposition. A dismissal, acquittal, probation order, sentence, transfer, or release can all follow the same kind of intake photo. Read the image only with records that explain what happened afterward.

Texas law does not make every mugshot always public or always confidential. Open Records Decision 616 found that a conviction-linked photograph without an active investigation could not be withheld under the former grounds asserted there. Current facts can differ. Active investigations, juvenile status, privacy, statutory confidentiality, expunction, nondisclosure, and court orders may restrict production. Fannin County should apply the law to a narrow request instead of the requester assuming the result.

Definition: a mugshot is an intake image, not a release certificate, finding of guilt, or statement of present custody.

Fannin Mugshot Discovery Channels

The official sweep found one direct local route: a written county request. Other common channels are absent, limited to a defined population, or do not prove release. The table keeps those distinctions visible.

ChannelHas a photo? How to access or interpret it
Fannin sheriff roster or release feedNo official feed foundDo not substitute an unaffiliated roster
Sheriff app or social streamNo verified county-linked source foundRecheck the official sheriff page before relying on a new app
County PIA requestMay produce the named booking photoUse Fannin's mandatory form; legal limits may apply
TDCJ inmate informationNoTDCJ expressly says its public inmate-information service does not provide photographs
Texas sex-offender registryYes, for covered registrantsNot a general released-inmate archive
Commercial or copied databasesSometimesMay be stale or wrong; no commercial links are provided
Local news or official press releasesSometimesEpisodic and case-specific; not release proof
BOP or USMS public channelsGenerally no public prisoner photo routeBOP locator is text-based; USMS restricts prisoner photos and movement information

VINELink and current Texas IVSS are notification channels, not dependable photo archives. Use them to follow a custody event, then obtain the photo and terminating record from the correct custodian. The source that holds the image may not be the source that proves discharge.

No Fannin Sheriff Photo Feed

No official Fannin County roster, recent-release archive, booking-photo feed, mobile app, or recurring social release stream was located in the bounded official sweep dated August 2, 2026. That is a time-stamped negative finding. It does not prove the county never publishes a photo or that no vendor endpoint can ever appear. It means a page should not promise a roster field, retention window, update schedule, or app feature that official sources did not document.

The official sheriff page supplies jail and notification routes but no photo-feed link. Its captured page shows the available public starting point:

The county sheriff page supports the contact and notification paths, not a public mugshot stream.

This absence should steer a search toward the county's written photo request. Do not use an unofficial page merely because it calls itself official. A current custody list would also be the wrong proof for someone already released.

Request a Fannin Booking Photo

Fannin County requires written public-information requests to use its official form. Describe an existing record rather than asking staff to decide what the image means. Include enough identity and booking detail to avoid a false match. No verified local photo fee was found, so ask for a cost estimate instead of quoting the sheriff's unrelated civil-process schedule.

  1. Open the mandatory Fannin County request form.
  2. Give the full name, aliases, date of birth if known, approximate booking date, and booking number if available.
  3. Request the named booking photograph plus the booking sheet and release or transfer log.
  4. Ask for the exact release date and time, release type, authority, and destination or receiving agency.
  5. Request electronic copies and an estimate before charges exceed a limit you choose.
  6. Email the completed PDF to piarequest@fanninco.net or mail it to the Criminal District Attorney's Office at 800 E. 2nd Street, Suite 200, Bonham, TX 75418.

The county's PIA page explains this required process, as shown in the official capture:

If the response supplies a photo without a release entry, it proves booking only. If a legal exception is asserted, preserve the request and response. Narrow follow-up questions to the missing record, code definition, or destination field.

Read the returned file before publishing or describing it. Confirm the document title, creating agency, subject identifiers, booking date, and whether the photo belongs to the same admission as the requested release. A person can have more than one booking image. Keep the agency response and source date with the photo. If the copy is redacted or withheld, do not infer what the hidden material says. The agency may apply active-investigation, juvenile, privacy, expunction, nondisclosure, or other lawful limits to the particular record.

Texas Government Code Chapter 552 supplies the Public Information Act framework. Section 552.108 contains law-enforcement exceptions, while subsection (c) preserves basic information about an arrested person, arrest, or crime. State open-government guidance describes basic information as including booking facts, a notation of release or transfer, and bond. That does not make every photo or file automatically available. It supports a focused request and lets the county identify any specific exception it applies. Ask for the booking photograph as its own record, and ask separately for the release entry so the response does not blur admission with custody termination.

Fannin Photos Beyond County Records

Copied databases may retain a booking photo after an official page changes. Their entries can be stale, incomplete, attached to the wrong person, or stripped of the case outcome. No commercial mugshot or data-broker links are provided, and paid removal services are not endorsed. If an image is found elsewhere, record its source date and compare identifiers with the agency record before relying on it.

A local news report or an official press release may lawfully show an image for a notable case. Such publication is episodic. It is not a county booking archive and does not establish the person's current status. TDCJ's public inmate-information email service expressly refuses photographs. The Texas sex-offender registry can display color photos only for people with a statutory duty to register, so its absence says nothing about the broader released population.

When a registry photo does apply, its purpose and timeline still differ from the booking record. A registry entry may include the person's name, address, color photo, offense, and a supervision or discharge indicator. Registration can continue after custody ends. To correct an entry after a duty expires, DPS directs the person to the most recent updating agency with the judgment or charging instrument and proof of discharge. That process does not turn the registry into a general Fannin County mugshot source.

Federal channels are also narrow. The BOP locator ordinarily provides text fields such as name, register number, status, and release date. USMS policy restricts prisoner photographs and arrival or departure information. Search the agency that controlled the actual custody rather than expecting one photo system to cover county, state, federal, and immigration records.

Correct Fannin Mugshot Records

Release alone does not erase the image or case. Texas expunction under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A depends on the disposition and statutory conditions. An order of nondisclosure under Government Code Chapter 411 limits disclosure but is not destruction and still permits access by authorized agencies. Avoid claims that a record becomes “sealed everywhere.” The court order, clerk record, and agency compliance response form the sound correction trail.

Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 109 covers some publishers of criminal-record information, including arrest photographs. It targets defined publishers that charge at least $150 to remove information or charge any fee to correct it, subject to exemptions. Covered publishers must maintain complete and accurate data, accept a dispute without charge, investigate by the forty-fifth business day, correct or remove inaccurate information promptly without charge, and report the result within five business days.

Chapter 109 is not a general publication ban. It does not create automatic removal merely because a person left jail. For an official source, provide the expunction, nondisclosure, correction, or other controlling order to the record custodian and ask for a written response. For a covered publisher, use the statute's free dispute path and keep proof of delivery. Do not pay a service that promises an outcome it cannot control.

An expunction order and an order of nondisclosure do different work. Expunction eligibility turns on the case outcome and the detailed conditions in Chapter 55A. Nondisclosure restricts public disclosure but leaves access for authorized agencies. Neither should be assumed from a missing portal result. Obtain the signed order, identify every agency or repository addressed by it, and keep each compliance response. If a copied image remains elsewhere, send the controlling record through that source's documented correction process. A county update does not guarantee that every prior copy disappears at the same time.

Accuracy corrections also require precise evidence. Match the booking number, date, and agency before asserting that an image belongs to the wrong person or case. If the image is accurate but its caption omits a dismissal or later disposition, provide the signed court record and request that the entry be made complete. Chapter 109's dispute rules apply only to publishers within its definitions and exemptions. The official county custodian remains the best source for the original booking record and its legal status.

FCRA restriction: This site is not a consumer reporting agency. Mugshot and release information may not be used for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose.

For release verification separate from the image, use the Fannin County release-record guide. The photo, court disposition, and custody-termination record answer different questions and should remain separate.
